Umag-Umago, small town and port on the northwestern coast of Istria is known as a city of tourism and sports. It is especially known as a sports center in Istria because it is as host of the ATP World Tennis Tournament.
Umag offers numerous excursion possibilities and visit to the cities nearby as Trieste, Ljubljana and Venice. The hinterland of Umag is hiding many tourist attractions like mountaineering, caving and other activities for adventure enthusiasts.
Umag was built on the foundations of Roman archaeological remains and has preserved its network of narrow streets and medieval urban structure. The new part of the city stretches from Katoro to Novigrad.
Savudrija is known for its oldest lighthouse on the Croatian Adriatic (1826).
Mini touristic train connects Umag with Katoro where a Roman archaeological foundations can be found.
